Our Porch Sign Post Works for All Seasons!
I wanted to show y’all just how versatile our porch sign post can be (here’s the tutorial on making the post). Since we built the post, we’ve been able to use it for three different seasons.
Our original design was great for fall decor. The hooks in the back of the post allow for any type of garland; fall leaves in this case. I created a sign that reflects the most important word for the holiday. It topped it off perfectly.
Christmas brought about a completely different look. I exchanged the fall leaves for some fir garland and then added a Christmas sign that I had made to complete the look. The crackle technique on the sign was fun to do.
And for my current “no particular holiday” look I made a wood sign with a cute saying and added some floral garland. The sign is more of my favorite style created by dry brushing chalk paint over a stained surface. I love the look!
Don’t be intimidated- this porch sign post is a very doable project. And it’s versatility makes it such a great use of your time and effort. Try it!
