Our First Fall Mantel Decor 2015

It’s amazing how the house has changed over the course of just a year. I just saw a pic of our fall mantel decor from last year. We hadn’t done our gallery wall yet, and it’s amazing just how stark the room looked. There is just something about a gallery wall filled with the things that tell your story. Our wall next to our fireplace is now that wall, filled with so many things that I love. This grouping of items absolutely fill the room with warmth and a homey feeling. I’m excited to start adding our fall elements in the next week.

Two weeks ago, I hauled all of the fall storage bins out of the attic and have been mulling our fall mantel decor over and over in my mind (as well as the fall decor for all of the house). My plan is to take the best of what we did last year, and hopefully, by adding some new elements, make it even more spectacular this year.

I have learned so much about composition over the past year. There is such a bounty of inspiration in the blogs that I follow. You should subscribe to as many as you can, just to see examples of what other people are doing. It will inspire you and stretch you to do more than you ever thought you could. I have a list of blogs that I follow weekly for their link parties. If you don’t know, link parties are places bloggers from all over the world share their projects. Talk about inspiration! Visit these sites- the bloggers who host these parties are all amazingly creative individuals themselves whose blogs will, no doubt, challenge you to try new things. They will inspire you.

Onto a brief look at our fall mantel decor from last year. The new and improved fall decor is coming soon!
