It’s always a good time for a party!
I can’t believe we’ve already come around to the start of a new school year. I’m not gonna lie to you, it feels weird not working right now. I’ve worked in education for over 18 years, until now. It’s always exciting to start a new school year. I spent the last two years in a growing district with a superintendent who has a vision for his schools and students. I loved seeing the innovative ideas and being a part of making it happen. I hope your children are fortunate enough to attend a school with teachers who are motivated and who truly love what they do and who place their students’ success above all. As a parent you can do so much to foster a love of learning. Engage your children. Talk to them. Let their successes be yours as well. I’d bet you’ll find some inspiration and tools to do just that in our party this week.
Let’s get to it!
My feature pick for this week is How to Make a Playful Headboard Garden Bench from The Interior Frugalista. What an amazing bench!! You honestly can pick up wood bed frames for not a lot of money. As a matter of fact- I have one in our garage that we bought at an auction for about $10. Just a little time and a few additional supplies and BOOM you can make a gorgeous bench that works indoors or out!
