I trust y’all had a lovely and romantic Valentine’s Day yesterday. The Mean Man and I don’t generally do much for each other since our anniversary is a week before and THAT’S  the day we celebrate our love. He did, however, want to take me to dinner so luckily he got a reservation at Saltgrass. Our reservation was for 5:30 and when we got there, I kid you not, people were parked all the way down the street! Now, if a wait at a restaurant is more than 20 minutes, I’m outa there. Seriously, it’s one of the things I hate most. I just have never encountered food that’s good enough for me to wait over an hour for. There were people EVERYwhere. Happily we were seated within 15 minutes and enjoyed a fantastic filet and sides.

We were sitting at our table with the iPad out though watching several online auctions that had items we were bidding on. How romantic!! We bought some nice pieces, one of which I paid more than I wanted. Every time we bid, they’d go higher, then my competitive juices kicked in and I didn’t care HOW much I had to bid. I was getting that dadgum cabinet. And I did. I had just bout a buffet that’s very similar the week before for our house and I spent more so I felt ok about paying what I paid. Only The Mean Man and I could make an auction a sport!

Now, our Linky party is completely FREE and you’re sure to find something you’ll love. Let’s get to it!

Feature

My feature for this week is this Delicious Grape Walnut Salad from Holy Veggies! Sometimes you just want a salad. And I like to mix stuff up a bit and add more than just lettuce and tomato. This is the perfect combination of flavors for a refreshing meal. I love the crunch of the walnuts and the sweetness of the grapes. Food is more than flavors. Textures add to the enjoyment of the dish. I can’t wait to try this!
