Turmeric

Turmeric is an ancient spice with a long history of medicinal use. It’s commonly used in Asian cooking to add flavor, but it’s also been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory effects. One study found that turmeric was just as effective as an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory. Turmeric has also been shown to have cancer-fighting properties. One study followed more than 50,000 participants over 10 years and found that those who consumed turmeric had a lower risk of developing several types of cancer.

If you’re wanting to get healthier this year, you can get turmeric in capsule form at health food stores or even your local drug store.

Omega-3s

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients crucial for good health and wellness. They have been shown to promote heart health by reducing cholesterol levels and blood pressure. They also can reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Unfortunately, most people don’t get enough of them from their diet. You can find omega-3s in fish, walnuts, and certain types of seeds. If you’re like me, you may not be a big fish eater. Adding an omega3 supplement can ensure you’re giving your body it’s daily dose.

Magnesium

Magnesium is a mineral essential to many biochemical reactions in the body, including muscle and nerve function. Unfortunately, it’s estimated that more than 75% of adults don’t have enough of it in their diet. Magnesium supplements have been shown to help lessen migraine symptoms and may even combat depression. It may be helpful in supporting healthy blood sugar levels and help in getting a good night’s sleep. It may also lessen anxiety symptoms, and in today’s society we could all use something to help there! Magnesium has anti-inflammatory properties as well promoting regularity for those who suffer with constipation.

Magnesium can be found in several foods like nuts, whole grains, and leafy greens.

CBD Oil

CBD oil is derived from hemp and is becoming increasingly popular among healthy living enthusiasts. It’s often used as a natural remedy for anxiety, joint pain, and sleep disorders. However, it’s important to note that CBD oil is not the same as THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. In fact, the two have very different chemical compositions. CBD oil supplements are usually made from hemp extracts. Hemp is a variety of cannabis plants that contain minimal THC. It’s legal in most states and can be purchased online. Studies suggest that CBD oil can reduce anxiety and help treat insomnia. It may also reduce inflammation and improve overall sleep quality.

Probiotics

Many people associate probiotics with only one thing: gut health. Probiotics can also improve immunity and can even have a positive effect on mood. Culturelle is one of the most popular probiotic supplements on the market. It’s available at most grocery and drug stores and can be taken daily to boost health. You should take probiotics as part of a healthy daily routine to strengthen your immune system. Probiotics can improve your immune system and reduce your risk of allergies. In addition, they’ve been shown to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and lower cortisol levels.

Always check with your health care provider before starting a supplement routine. There could be interactions with prescription medication you may be taking; so you want to be sure you’re good to go.
